It was a weekend of upsets in the SUNYAC conference this past weekend, but none were bigger than SUNY Potsdam's upset on the road at SUNY Geneseo Satuday, Feb. 1. Geneseo was coming off an upset of then-No. 4 SUNY Plattsburgh Friday, Jan. 31. Potsdam fell 4-1 to the College at Brockport that same night.

Plattsburgh nearly lost its second-straight SUNYAC game in a row when it played at Brockport Saturday. Plattsburgh trailed 2-0 and 3-1 at different points in the game before outscoring Brockport 5-2 in the final two periods of play.

SUNY Fredonia swept SUNY Morrisville in Fredonia both games this weekend. Fredonia won Friday 2-0 and Saturday 5-2. By sweeping Morrisville and getting help from SUNY Oswego beating SUNY Cortland Saturday night, Fredonia jumped three points ahead of the sixth and final SUNYAC playoff spot that Cortland now holds. Oswego defeated Cortland 4-2 at home this past Saturday.

Buffalo State College didn't play any games this past weekend.
